Social stories are short, personalized stories that describe a specific social situation, skill, or concept in a structured and straightforward manner. They aim to break down complex social interactions into easily understandable steps, providing individuals with a framework for understanding social cues, expectations, and appropriate behaviors.

While social stories are originally used as an intervention for individuals with ASD or other social-communication difficulties, they can be equally helpful for anyone who needs to develop specific skills across social situations, such as leadership.

Barbara Groth, founder of Nomadic School of Wonder, emphasizes wonder, nature, and co-creation in designing experiences, with her school's mission of creating more wonder through play, collaboration, and tapping into sense memories and imagination to access awe, curiosity, and expanded perception; she highlights the role of culture, respecting diverse communities, building relationships through story circles, balancing emerging technologies with nature connection, and engaging in daily practices like sensory wonder walks and creative expression to stay connected to one's playful aliveness.

Caitlin Krause of MindWise discusses her work cultivating resilience, empathy, and meaningful connection through integrated learning experiences blending mindfulness, design, and storytelling. She explores concepts like wonder and flow state, designing immersive experiences like VR military training to foster qualities like empathy and resilience. Emphasizing play, collaboration, curiosity, and mindful AI partnership in skill and culture development.

Ross Stevenson discusses the concept of a decision operating system for AI, proposes key questions to explore, and how it can be applied to enhance workforce performance focusing on problem-solving rather than technology adoption. He shares the inspiration behind his work, 'Steal These Thoughts,' and emphasizes the importance of context in implementing AI tools. Ross also emphasizes the value of human intelligence and critical thinking in conjunction with AI technology. 

Amanda, the founder and CEO of AI for Education, discusses the importance of AI literacy in education and the potential of AI to personalize learning. She emphasizes the need for educators and organizations to understand the capabilities and limitations of AI and to use it in an ethical and responsible way. Amanda also highlights the biases and cultural limitations present in AI models and calls for the development of more representative and diverse training data sets. She encourages workplace learning and leadership development to prioritize AI literacy and to approach AI implementation with a problem-solving mindset.
